Position Summary The selected candidate will cultivate and solicit primarily major gifts ($100,000+) from alumni and friends of NYU School of Law to support priority programs and initiatives. S/he will also identify and prioritize a portfolio of prospects and develop appropriate strategies to secure gifts; and collaborate with alumni and annual giving teams to develop programs that engage and motivate major gift donors. Solicit gifts through face-to-face visits and direct/individual phone and email solicitations. Collaborate with NYU School of Law research team to identify and evaluate prospects and develop data-sharing systems to enhance delivery of services and provision of information. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Preferred Education: Master's degree. Required Experience: 4-6 years' relevant experience. Should include experience in fundraising, events planning, cultivation and stewardship of donors, and staff supervision. Preferred Experience: Fundraising experience at a college or university. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct professional presentations via phone and in person. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
