Position Summary Position Summary The Assistant Director will play a pivotal role in the advancement and improvement of the University's Sponsored Research-related business processes.? Working collaboratively with central and departmental administrative users, the Assistant Director will analyze business requirements and identify/implement solutions that measurably serve to maximize resources (people, money, time) and improve the client experience.? The Assistant Director will serve as a process consultant and change agent for the University's Sponsored Research business processes.? To optimize this work, the Assistant Director will conduct complex analyzes and lead cross-functional teams using appropriate process improvement methodologies that further organizational and strategic goals, identify and analyze current-state processes and issues, and recommend and implement measurable improvements.Qualifications Required Education Bachelor's degree? Preferred Education Master's degree in business, operations management, or related field.? Required Experience 7+ years of relevant business analysis and process improvement experience in the sponsored research domain. ? Preferred Experience Experience working in Higher Education or a complex global organization or sponsored research area?? ? Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong collaborative, change management, coaching and analytical skills.? ?Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively handle multiple projects.??Ability to develop effective business relationships and build consensus.??Excellent writing and communication skills.? ?? Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Visio or other business process modeling and analytical tools.?Functional understanding of sponsored research area (proposals, awards, sponsor reporting, financial reporting, accounting, human subjects compliance,etc.).??Ability to slice and dice research related data (using variety of data analysis tools include excel, access DB, etc.) to drive meaningful conclusions and identify improvement areas.??Experience working on projects ranging from a third party vendor product implementation to data integration and business process improvements.??Proven knowledge and application of lean six sigma methodology, business analysis, reengineering, and process modeling.? ??Must be a hands-on resource with demonstrated ability to?analyze and document processes using tools like process mapping, identify in-process metrics and other process measurement techniques;?use these results to recommend process improvements and operations metrics dashboard based on the sponsor's goals and objectives;??work with the project sponsor, champion and team members to identify and implement improvements; and?deliver results handling multiple priorities.?Additional Information Additional Information: EOE/AA/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
