POSITION SUMMARY

The PCC - Donor must detect and identify errors immediately, to facilitate urgent corrections. As a first line of contact, this role will independently assist members, providers and physician offices by clarifying and researching desired information and resolving problems related to pharmacy benefits in a busy call center environment. This position researches and explores answers and alternative solutions, and implements solutions to escalated and unresolved problems. Handle customer accommodations independently with good judgment. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for responding to new and different requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As the first line of contact, will assist approximately 50-70 inbound and outbound members, providers and physician calls per day in a busy call center environment.
Answer questions related to pharmacy benefits, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable.
Accurately obtain and enter patient information, including shipping, insurance and payment information.
Provide patients with price quotes, order status, insurance verification's and proof of deliveries.
Handle customer accommodations independently with good judgment and involving a Supervisor/Manager only when necessary.
Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED required.
2-3 years or relevant experience.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: National preferred, State license a minimum.
General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, Outlook Email and General Call Center Systems.
Thorough, demonstrated understanding of medical/pharmacy terminology.
Strong technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make independent decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Full knowledge of department processes.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak times.
